YKS Sorular — Privacy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

The short version: YKS Sorular has no accounts and never asks for your name or email. It shows ads through Google AdMob, syncs your test results to our server under an anonymous device identifier, uses Google Firebase for crash and usage statistics, and — if you allow notifications — stores your device's push address so we can send them.

Not a government app

This app is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center of Türkiye (ÖSYM) or any other government body. Its questions are practice material written around the topics of the YKS university entrance exam (TYT/AYT). For exam dates, registration, rules and official results the only authoritative source is www.osym.gov.tr.

What the app stores

Your practice-test results, favourites and the questions you got wrong are saved on your device. To power your statistics, test results are also sent to our server together with a random identifier the app generates for this device. That identifier is not tied to your name, Google or Apple account, email address or phone number, and it disappears when you delete the app.

Question content is downloaded from our server so it can be updated without an app update, and cached on the device.

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information and the advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or the IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking) to serve, measure and personalise ads. You can limit this in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, or iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See how Google uses data from partner apps. Premium removes ads.

Crash and usage statistics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to find bugs and Firebase Analytics (Google) to see, anonymously, which screens are used. This is technical information such as device model, OS version, crash logs and in-app events; it does not say who you are.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, your device registers with our notification service Notibolt using a push address issued by Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM). The registration holds that push address, the device model, language, time zone and whether you are a Premium user. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time; we then send none.

Device attestation

To protect our server from abuse, the app may confirm that it is a genuine, unmodified copy using Google Play Integrity (Android) or Apple App Attest (iOS). This check contains no personal information.

Feedback

If you send feedback or report a question from within the app, your message reaches us with the app version and the same anonymous device identifier. No email address is required.

What we don't collect

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your payment details. See Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Security and retention

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Synced results are kept for as long as they are needed to provide statistics.

Data deletion

Deleting the app removes the data on your device and discards the device identifier, which leaves the synced results orphaned on our server. Write to us and we will delete them from the server as well.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date.
